Title: Oct. 1995 - Yogurt Bread
Categories: Breadmaker Bread
Yield: 1 Servings

1 1/2lbLoaf

1 1/3 cups plain regular or low fat yogurt ( but not no fat) 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon brown sugar (packed) 3 1/4 cups bread flour 1 3/4 teaspoons active yeast

Note: If using bread machine yeast, reduce by 1/2 teaspoon and add 2 tablespoons water for small loaf and 3 tablespoons for large loaf.

Do you have trouble with your bread molding in a day or so? This low fat, low calorie bread keeps well, as the yogurt culture helps prevent mold. It also stays moist. It is also important that your storage container does not contain mold spores, so rinse it with vinegar, do not rinse, just wipe dry with a paper towel. Do not use this recipe with the delay bake feature. E-mail me for a buttermilk recipe to prevent mold you can use with the delay bake feature.
